Product Description

Atlantis is extremely excited to announce the launch of Jason Momoa’s new "Mano" SUP.

Jason (AKA Aquaman) has tapped into his prominent Hawaiian heritage and named this extravagant board after the Hawaiian word for shark “Mano”. Jason’s trademark Mano Tattoos had a huge influence in the final design concepts for his board. This is by far the most intricate board design we have ever been challenged with and the results are astounding.

The shape of this board differs a lot in comparison with most of the Atlantis range. Notable features are the 4 prominent Channels which have been designed to add extra drive and traction through turns. Jason installed a flyer above the fin area which increases manoeuvrability when turning off the tail. This mixed with a rolled vee through the channel area also creates better rail to rail transition. The Mano offers heightened entry rocker to allow for steeper take offs and also a high tail rocker to also help manoeuvrability.

The Mano has been constructed out of high quality materials sourced from the best suppliers from around the globe. Reinforced Innegra/carbon bi-axle rails provide additional strength while providing striking aesthetics that everyone loves. A PVC reinforced, moulded EPS blank will help to prolong this masterpiece of a SUP and ensure its longevity if cared for correctly.

Most EVA deck grips are kept simple… not the Mano! The Mano SUP boasts a 12 piece grip that features over 200 cut-outs that resemble Jason’s Mano Tattoo. A perfectly balanced removable 4 + 1 fin system allows you to run 3 different fin configurations. This gives the rider multiple choices for differing water/wave conditions. The fin plugs have been expertly installed into PVC/Divinicell High density foam block that have been impregnated and then shaped into the blank. Customised dual leash plugs keep the board safe and all Mano boards are fitted with the Atlantis signature ergonomic handle.

Jason requested that the dimensions of his smaller sizes (9’2 and under) were tailored for performance surfers. The rails are a bit lower, the width and thickness are also refined. However the 9’8 and 10’4 are very much geared to the “all rounder” and boast widths above 32 inches and more volume throughout the shape. Jason explains this as a “family orientated” decision and focused on the time he spends at the beach with his family and considers these sizes as boards anyone can paddle or surf.

At Jason's request $100 from each Mano sold will be donated equally to Surfaid and The Mauli Ola Foundation.

Surfaid is a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing.

The Mauli Ola Foundation is dedicated to providing hope and confidence to individuals living with genetic diseases. Harnessing the healing powers of the ocean, they introduce surfing and ocean-based activities as natural therapies.

  1. Its the business!

Posted by Steve Coumbis on 1st May 2019

Its my third SUP following a 10'6 allrounder and 10' Smik brand which surfs well like a mini mal style, but not great for turning or in fast waves, but awesome in bigger surf with shoulders to take off from.

I bought the 9'2 Mano by Mamoa and it performs just as I dreamed and hoped it would, allowing me to turn much harder and race across tricky sections of faster and smaller waves and surf more like a short board in bigger surf. I love it. It is harder work when waiting for waves but I am getting more used to it each time out. I am 98kgs and it just floats me when motionless, I think ideal for 90kg surfer (or less). Time for me to lose a few kilos...
If you are looking for a step up SUP to allow you to get more critical turns and carves in this is the one and the price is phenomenal.

  2. Great first SUP

Bought this as a rehab toy for my bung knee and shoulder. Using this in still water but aim to put my kook boots on and progress to the surf. Its a sick looking board. Gave it 4 stars only because a screw was missing on the paddle. Otherwise all good and definitely recommend.

  3. A work of art

This board is an absolute work of art and I am so lucky to own something that Jason has helped craft, the board is beautiful and build strong and I LOVE IT

  4. The best board I've ever ridden

Posted by Steve Rudd on 12th Feb 2018

The Mano is like a high-performance race car.It looks stunning, It doesn't like sitting still, doesn't idle well, but when you open it up and let it run, phwoooar!
Coming from a 10.6 evoke( which I loved). It took a lot of getting used to the smaller dimensions of my 9.2 Mano, but as soon as it's on a wave, it's a whole new ballgame. The extra rocker let's me make drops I would have previously nosedived, and the board turns on a five cent piece, without any loss of speed.Im making sections that I never would have attempted before, it goes like a bullet.Im frothing just thinking about it.
This board makes you a better surfer.
