Product Description

The Atlantis Vex Profusion II is the ultimate performance carbon SUP!

The new “Vex Pro II” is one of our most refined and responsive stand up paddle boards yet; boasting increased turning performance and heightened acceleration than its predecessor, the Vex Pro II will progress your surfing to the next level.

The Vex Pro boasts a newly refined surf specific nose shape with an aggressive entry rocker. Further refinements were made to the rails and tail to enhance the Vex pro’s overall performance. The rounded square tail is also a new feature which gives the board a smoother arc than the former straight square tail design to soften transitions and enhance maneuverability. Undoubtedly the Vex Pro is created purely with performance in mind!

The design aspects of this board are unparalleled; with high end brush carbon / PVC construction and a deep concave bottom make for a lightweight and extremely fast board. The deep single concave running through to an even deeper double sees water funneling through to give huge amounts of controllable speed.

These solid performance stand up paddleboards have taken the Australian market by storm by offering high performance, paddle power and wave catching ease.

If you want a high performance stand up paddle board that won’t break the budget than look no further than the Vex Pro II!

  1. I’m hooked !

Posted by 59 YO Grom on 20th Feb 2018

I have been surfing for 51 years and recently decided to give SUPing a go.
I was recommended to look at buying a SUP through you guys by a friend. After much deliberation about which board I should by, I finally settled on the 9’ carbon Vex. The board arrived at my house on coastal Victoria within about 4 days of ordering it and was really well packed.
I am 6’2” and weigh 87kg. I was tossing up between the 9’6” or the 9’ but decided that although the learning curve might have been steeper, in the long term I would be happier with the shorter of the two. I must admit, on my first surf I thought I might have gone too short to start on, but having owned it for around 4 weeks now and getting out there amongst the surf whenever I can, I am really getting hooked on this SUP caper. I have changed the fin setup to a thruster with a smaller rear fin than the one it came with. It is starting to really loosen up on the turns now and every surf I am seeing an improvement and getting a higher wave count. Overall I am really happy with my board and having heaps of fun. I feel like a Grommit again getting up for dawn patrols and knocking off work to go for a surf.
Definitely give you guys the big “Thumbs Up”.

  2. 8'6" Vex Dilivered in good time with no hassles

Posted by Matt on 19th Jan 2018

After riding a 10'4" hobie to the 8'6" Vex was a challenge that I'm still getting used to, but am relishing the differences required especially raising my fitness level. I'm stoked with how the board handles, it's so easy to turn and has great speed. I cant wait to take it out in some good waves to see what it can really do.

  3. 2017 8'6" vex performance sup

Posted by Craig on 27th Dec 2017

I haven't even had a chance to surf this in anything but 2-3 foot average waves but can tell this is going to perform well in more powerfull waves. Going down in size from an 8'10" carbon evoke to the 8'6" is a huge difference, it is definitely harder work. Can't reall relax like I could like on a 32"wide evoke but thats all part of it.
I can't wait to get this in some nice clean swell!

  4. Great board.

8 foot 6 - Like most other reviewers i find the board great to ride. I ride it as a surfboard not a SUP. Its fast and maneuverable and pretty buoyant. Great looking board too.

  5. Great service and product !

Just received my 9'6" Atlantis Vex Carbon SUP and would like to compliment the team at Surfboardwarehouse on excellent professional service. Ordered the board on Sunday night and it arrived at my house in Wollongong on Tuesday. The packaging was bullet proof and board inside perfect. Actually the effort I put into getting the packing off negates me going to the gym tonight

  6. 9'6 Vex Profusion

Posted by Roger on 10th Jul 2017

First ride in a 2ft swell and I found it still easy to catch a wave and quite quick and responsive. I had down sized from a 10'6 Naish Nalu which I loved in the smaller swell but this is so light and responsive. I cant wait to get into some decent waves. Love it!

This is a follow-up review to my original review posted 12th March 2016. I've now been using my 8'6 Carbon Vex Profusion Pro once or twice a week for over 12 months & it has stood up well. I have surfed it in all conditions from small beachies up to some solid 8'+ reef breaks. It has been banged on concrete steps, surfed onto dry sand & dragged across the reef several times with only some minor paint scrapes & a couple of small chips. As per my original review it surfs extraordinarily well (providing you fit some decent fins) & I'd love to add an 8' version of this board to my quiver when funds allow. A light, tough & excellent value SUP that is well finished & surfs great: what more could you ask from a board?

  8. 9'/6 vex 2017

Posted by Mark on 12th Jan 2017

living on the far west coast of South Australia, made it hard to decide on up grading my sup as there is not many over here to see in real life.I was stoked with the whole package, and even more stoked now i have had a few sessions. For a board 9/6 its so responsive and powerful of the bottom.Over 40 years of surfing i enjoy it as much now as i ever have. Thanks .

  9. Performance for your buck!

    Posted by K2E on 7th Jan 2017

Thank you! I was getting annoyed at all the other brands monopolising at more than twice the price and this Vex out-performs many of them (in my opinion). I'm 5'11" and 86kg. I have the 2017, 8'6" and it hammers. Down the line or drop straight down and straight back up for a top hack. I use a 6in centre and 4.25in side fins in thruster with big base and medium rake for Sydney surf 2-4ft. Light, fast, looks good and makes me surf better!

  10. Better than expected.

Posted by HG on 6th Oct 2016

Was planning on demoing a few boards at Merimbula before getting a new one but the SWH sale started and it was too tempting not to grab one. Arrived no hassles a few days after order and have now had 4 surfs on the board in varying conditions. Have to say pretty happy so far, pretty stable, paddles well and catches waves easily enough. Surfs well and feels pretty positive underfoot. Replacing the stock fins with a quad set is the only change I've made so far and overall impression is good.
Stats are 5'8" and just over 90kgs in wetsuit.
