The refined ‘Aussie made’ Island Style Control Freak V2 is fast, highly responsive and designed to meet the performance standards of surfers in the experienced skill category. This is a board that lets you surf to your full potential and attack the most critical sections of the wave.

Based on Ry's feedback we have made some evolutionary tweaks to one of the most diverse and powerful boards in our range that has a wider profile and tailored for more paddle power, while still maintaining that performance edge to throw down serious man turns

The outline is refined to fit into tighter sections and the smooth moderate-to-extreme rocker profile is designed for better wave conditions. This extra curve allows for fast directional changes and tail release top turns. It has full-length single-to-double concave that’s synced with the rocker for performing high speed carves, turns and hacks. 

The tapered foil, combined with a lower rail adds sensitivity to the ride and increases lift, control and bite on which makes it easier to engage higher on the waves face. 

Made at the S-Lab facility on QLD's Gold Coast by experienced craftsmen, the Island Style Control Freak V2 is constructed using the highest quality foam, composites, fiberglass and resins sourced from trusted suppliers. These boards are built to deliver optimum flex, performance, durability and clean aesthetics for your shedding pleasure.

The Control Freak V2 is a board for the committed surfer. It’s versatile enough to ride in a range of conditions, but it will really shine in fast hollow waves when a fish or hybrid starts to feel a bit twitchy and not quite responsive enough, so if you’re after a fun, super responsive all-round shortboard the same as Ry Craike rides then the Island Style Control Freak is for you!
