Product Description

The Vessel Villain is the perfect summer fun board.

Built for the smaller days, the Villain has a wider and almost symmetrical outline creating a high volume, fast and fun summer wave board.  The Villain is constructed with a high density EPS foam core and reinforced with bamboo timber on both the deck and bottom of the board increasing its strength and durability. The rails and stringer have been further strengthened with a carbon and innegra composite strip to increase the flex properties of the board.  The Villain has been designed to be more durable than any other board in our line up and feels really solid.

The Villain features a quad concave through the tail maximising water flow and thus creating a fast and functional shape with greater hold.  The wider outline ensures a stable platform for riders of all skill levels and the lower rocker and nose concave allows for easy and early wave entry which will undoubtedly increase your wave count.  This board is extremely versatile and can surf everything from small and sloppy surf to punchy and powerful conditions making it a must have addition to your quiver.  The Villain should typically be ridden much smaller than your standard shortboard allowing you to dramatically drop down in size.

If you are wanting a strong, stable and surprisingly well rounded funboard then the Vessel Villain is well worth your consideration.

Best suited for Beginners to Experienced users who want speed, stability and strength in their next funboard

  1. Rocket sled

Posted by MichaelE on 17th Sep 2018

This board is a rocket in any size surf ,it is hydrophobic.I have a 6ft hypto and went with the 6ft villian and now love it more than the hypto. The extra litres are fantastic in the small stuff and get you into it much earlier in the bigger stuff.
This is a great travelling board as you can surf anything.
I ordered it on a Sunday night and it arrived lunchtime Friday in hobart,no damge,so pretty impressed. The one downside is the boardbag i included as an option. At 6ft it is too small to do up the zips with the 3 fins in and no chance witha quad setup.

  2. So glad I got it

Posted by Jake on 22nd Aug 2018

I was a little hesitant in buying this shape as it is a bit unusual. But after seeing Slater and Firewire doing similar things I took a punt and said what the hell and im glad i got it. The board is an absolute screamer and great for those sub par days where nothing much is going on. The board cleans up on small unpowerful surf and gives you the speed and drive as if it were a foot or two bigger. Board rocks!

  3. Paddle power

Posted by Adrian on 23rd Jul 2018

This board is designed so damn well its crazy. Easiest wave entry ever and the board rides well off the tail with the channels. I was hesitant given the shape but enjoying every minute. Would reccomend to mates and have done. Thanks boys

  4. Great alternative board

Posted by Paul on 26th May 2018

I recently managed to grab one of these as an alternative board to my usual go to board. I had been looking at a similar shaped board from a over advertised brand but couldn’t justify the price tag. Very impressed with my choice. Solid construction, surfs very well, great price tag and reliable customer service.
