Home to The Surfboard Warehouse HQ, the Gold Coast has some stunning flat water SUP locations, as well as some great spots to surf waves. Our favourites are Tallebudgera Creek, Currumbin Creek, Currumbin Alley and The Gold Coast Broadwater, but there are so many more epic places to explore here on the Gold Coast. With picture perfect weather most of the year round, the beauty of the Gold Coast is that it’s only a hop, skip and jump to the beautiful Northern Rivers and coastline of Northern NSW, including Byron Bay, Ballina, Lennox Heads and Brunswick Heads.

Tannum Sands and surrounds, QLD

The town of Tannum Sands is just 20km from Gladstone. Tannum Sands is a popular holiday location and is a great place to stand up paddle board. Try paddling around Tannum Main Beach, the nearby point and beach breaks of Agnes Waters or flat water paddling through the creeks of 1770. We’ve heard early mornings are breathtaking in this area, just on sunrise is meant to be spectacular.

If you love getting out and exploring nature, a beautiful section to paddle is to the north, Lake Cootharaba, where you can paddle into the stunning surrounds of the upper reaches of the Noosa River and Noosa Everglades. Be sure to drop in to say hi to the guys at The Surfboard Warehouse Noosa while you’re in town.

The creeks, lagoons, beaches and coves are perfect for stand up paddle boarding. Surrounded by nature, Jervis Bay is an unspoiled coastal paradise. When you visit you’ll be sure to see some dolphins playing around in the bay and if you're there between June and November you might be lucky enough to see the whales as they pass through on their annual migration.
